Supply chain excellence is most often built on strategies and tactics that are carefully conceived and executed over an extended period.  However, current events, game changing innovations or breakout trends can disturb the best laid plans and require immediate consideration.  The "Hot Topic" process has been designed by the consortium to highlight these issues and gather the facts needed for timely, informed decisions.  The process includes:

	Online interviews requiring no more than 20 to 30 minutes to complete.
	A data collection period of no more than three weeks.
	Immediate access to online query and filter tools the day following the interview close.
	A final report within two weeks of the interview close.
